Was up all night watching the american election - a couple of questions from a person in “old europe”
- how can you call a state like Florida when reportedly 1,6 million votes still haven’t been counted? (haven’t been able to validate that number)
- is the not yet counted votes both provisional, absentee and military votes?
- how can you let the media’s urge for a simple quick answer interfere with the counting of the citizens votes?
- why don’t the people demand that their votes be counted?

US=MS

pseudorandom: David Smith: US=MS
“If you want to understand how the world views the US, it is probably very similar to the way we view Microsoft:
- Extremely successful, much of it appears to be undeserved.
- We are totally dependent upon them, and there isn’t much of an alternative.
- Becoming too successful in our niche simply means that we will attract their attention.
- We like it when we see them fail.
- We are uncomfortable when we see them fail because they just keep working at it until they get it right - they will always be back. Unless, of course, it is determined to be an uninteresting market.
- They don’t care about us. We are just a source of revenue. The quality of their products and support is only as much as absolutely necessary to keep us in the fold.
- We hate them, but if they offered us a job, we would join them in a second and gleefully begin to oppress our former colleagues.”

Only in Denmark…

Only in Denmark…
would an ambitious new daily newspaper launch with only enough capital to be operationel for 45 days ending up filing for chapter 11.
Lost a bet on this one!.
Allthough the new Dagen newspaper was pretty tame in terms of concept, target groups, attitude, web presense, marketing, etc. i was convinced that they had secured the necessary capital base to operate for 9-12 months without new capital. Niels, i owe you one!

Journalists
Spend the morning evangelizing the new era of microcontent, weblogs, community publishing, syndication/newsreaders, microadvertising, etc. to 15 journalists.
Loads of fun - all though it’s really hard to describe all this in a straigth forward way in 45 minutes!
But getting out of the door with the view of 15 journalists using Blogger is exciting… ;)
The links and sites that i used in the presentation is on this radio weblog “Det digitale fagmedie“…
