No reboot this year!
If i haven’t told you all ready there isn’t gonna be a reboot meeting this year. Becoming a dad has taken a lot of time out of my personal and professional life - definately for the good - but i can’t visualize doing 3-4 months of hard reboot work in my sparetime - even though i’m sure a lot of good people would help like they always have.
I’m also busy working on implementing some of all the stuff reboot has been about the last couple of years in a new product that i’m very excited about (i’ve been thinking about it for almost 5 years so it was about time) - it feels more right to focus my energy on making a difference myself this year - instead of spending my energy on trying to give others the knowledge and inspiration to do it.
The decision came down to meaning - would it give meaning to do a half hearted reboot just for the reason of keeping the annual flow happening?
The answer on my part was no - so instead i’ve opened up my calender for 6 months of conversations with interesting people to lead up to reboot7 sometime in April 2005.
If you wanna hook up and talk about something that excites you in the intersection of technology, design, business, society and how they relate and interconnect send me a mail. New products or services, new ideas/concepts, new initiatives, new opensource projects, people making a difference, stuff that needs attention, etc.
And don’t worry i haven’t lost faith in anything - i think i’m just growing up and making tough decisions ![]()
The reboot.dk site will be updated shortly.
reboot6 is over. Phew.
Good people, good conversations.
My body is punishing me for too little sleep and too much work.
reboot6, 20th of june.
OK, this is something the whole team has been working very hard on for a long time. For all of us this feels like a very special reboot. And remember - reboot 100% is done on a volunteer and semi-professional basis by people with the heart in place for digital culture - all this is 110% passion…
We’ve got a group of speakers like nothing seen before, we’re combining the selforganizing openspace format with the speakers in a 16 hour experience of inspiration, networking and conversations.
It really feels like it’s all happening again, the technologies, standards, values and concepts are rising up from the underground and people are about to get them into society.
reboot6 is an exclusive event with only 275 tickets for sale - so i would suggest for you to sign up early if interested.
You’ll have my personal guarantee that this is 16 hours that will change your perspective - if you’re ready for it…
More geeky - less lifestyle is my personal motto for this years event.
PS. It feels great personally that we’re back where we started and it feels like there’s a real need for reboot - not just for throwing a huge event for thousands people of whom some only we’re interested in easy answers and a good party.
This is gonna be taking people from sleep to enlightment in 16 hours - just like the first reboot1 event
reboot is happening!
On friday the 20th of June in Copenhagen reboot will take place for the sixth time. And i’m so excited…
We’ve assembled an amazing team of speakers combined with the open space selforganizing interactive format of last years event.
Last year was reflection - now it’s time for action again. The memes and concepts that will create innovation are rising up from the underground and a lot of now experienced entrepreneurs and visionaries are ready to once again focus on creating something new.
Take note of the date and check back on the site in a couple of days for the announcement.

The spirit of reboot
A journalist from one of the major magazine’s in Denmark asked for the following regarding his participation in reboot
“OK, Mygdal wanted some gonzo journalism and has promised me free hands and the following supplies:
Two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of
high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole
galaxy of multicolored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers… Also a
quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether
and two dozen amyls.
I also need an extra ticket for my lawyer.”
Our guy handling journalists only had one comment - “We need to talk about an expense account that doesn’t need receipts”… Good fun!
