reboot6, 20th of june.
OK, this is something the whole team has been working very hard on for a long time. For all of us this feels like a very special reboot. And remember - reboot 100% is done on a volunteer and semi-professional basis by people with the heart in place for digital culture - all this is 110% passion…
We’ve got a group of speakers like nothing seen before, we’re combining the selforganizing openspace format with the speakers in a 16 hour experience of inspiration, networking and conversations.
It really feels like it’s all happening again, the technologies, standards, values and concepts are rising up from the underground and people are about to get them into society.
reboot6 is an exclusive event with only 275 tickets for sale - so i would suggest for you to sign up early if interested.
You’ll have my personal guarantee that this is 16 hours that will change your perspective - if you’re ready for it…
More geeky - less lifestyle is my personal motto for this years event.
PS. It feels great personally that we’re back where we started and it feels like there’s a real need for reboot - not just for throwing a huge event for thousands people of whom some only we’re interested in easy answers and a good party.
This is gonna be taking people from sleep to enlightment in 16 hours - just like the first reboot1 event ;)

Scripting News
From a trusted correspondent, talking with a contact who works at the Netscape part of AOL/Time Warner. “He said they had decided that weblogs are the next killer app, and that most of the work at the Mountain View office was going into building a weblog component for AOL. He also mentioned that about 400 people are working on that software. This is in constrast to about 20 who are working on Mozilla.”

PLATO People: A History Book Research Project
“Before Microsoft. Apple. The Web. AOL. The Internet. Before everything, there was PLATO: the first online community. The network that time forgot. The birthplace of instant messaging, chat, MUDs (multi-user dungeons), screen savers, flat-panel plasma displays, one of the first spell-checking/answer-judging mechanisms, and countless other innovations.”
