Cathedral and the Bazaar
Re-reading “The Cathedral and the Bazaar” in anticipation of a dinner with Eric S. Raymond i’ve been invited to tomorrow.
First idea/reflection: What if all government it-projects we’re required to be opensource projects. Basically making the technology infrastructure for government, municipals, hospitals, etc. open and free for everyone globally to use and radically altering the development style from big government contracts only handed out to big companies with 80% project managers to an open decentralized democratic development style.
